ETSY Made in Canada is finally here!!!

The 5th annual Etsy: Made in Canada Ottawa takes place
September 29 + 30 from 10am to 4pm (Night Market is SOLD OUT)
at the Carleton University Fieldhouse (185 University Road, Ottawa 

Admission is $5 at the door (no advance purchase option), kids under 16 are FREE (sadly, no furry friends allowed except service animals).

We are thrilled to be donating $5000 to a fabulous local charity called HighJinx Ottawa as a result of this event.

Fibre Fest is almost here!

Come on down to the Almonte Arena for all things fibre related!  This weekend only.  Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-4.  We've got workshops galore...I'm teaching my Gefelte Fish Bones on Friday 9-12 at the Arena.  Theres still room for one or two so join us if you can!

Lunch will be provided and if there's time, Gord will take you on a toodle around Wolfe Lake

Loretta is teaching her fabulous Prodded Sunflowers

"Welcome fall with these delightful prodded sunflowers. Once you have made one – you won’t be able to stop. We will hook the centres and then you will learn to prod the petals and how to finish your piece. 

Workshop Fee: $40.00 + HST

Fee for supplies: $45.00 + HST

Supplies include: Pattern on primitive linen plus sufficient wool to complete one large sunflower or 2 smaller sunflowers(2 large and 3 small can be done on the linen pattern and additional wool and alternative fibres will be available for sale)

Please bring scissors, needle and thread and your hook and frame

July 29, 2018 Workshops at Hooked on the Lake

There's still time to register for our double whammy workshops!  Loretta has opened up her workshop to include any punch needle kit....she will still be demonstrating the making of the bones  of the fish.

Spring has sprung in the National Capital!  Join me at Landsdowne Park on this Victoria Day Weekend.  I'll be there 10-5 May 19-21, 2018 at the Aberdeen Pavillion.  It's supposed to be a lovely weekend...and we soooooo need it!!!

Just finished a 5 day online mini course on how to better light your products.  It's sooo empowering to see the gems that Amy Eaton has passed on actually working to give me more control over my images.

I used Amy's techniques to help take this picture of my Wilbur Pincushions.  (They're all called Wilbur....easier for me to keep track of them that way!) . I still have a long way to go but I'm confident with the tools I've got!!  I'll keep yas posted with updates!
